Sanding a wood floor takes off approximately 0.5mm of the actual wood from the top surface and means that you get back to the bare wood. This means that floors can be restored to almost their original appearance depending on the age and condition.

It is possible to sand both solid and hard wood floors but also engineered wood floors too. Engineered wood floors cannot be sanded as many times in their life though.

We use the best equipment on the market to ensure the most consistent and smooth sanding finish.

Most of the sanding is done by the Pallmann belt sander and edger but there is a certain amount of more manual techniques involved.

Sanding a wood floor creates the wood dust that is needed to then mix with resin and apply to filling in gaps to the wooden floor.
